St Gabriel's is a Catholic Primary (K-6) Special School in the Edmund Rice Tradition. The programs offer a caring and challenging education for children with hearing impairment and other special needs such as intellectual disability and autism in the mild to moderate range. Through the SHINE @ SCHOOL program students are offered an intensive program designed to prepare them for mainstream placement.  The first years at school are critical in establishing learning and social behaviours that will enable them to fully participate in, and benefit from, school life.

The special teaching staff and purpose built environment allow the students to achieve success through a focus on communication, literacy, numeracy and social skills.
